Sharing the Love of Jesus with your Child

The ACS staff has the privilege to share the love of Jesus with our students. Our vision is to nurture students to grow in their faith, love to learn, and be equipped to reach their full and unique spiritual, academic, social, and physical potential — all to engage and change the world for Jesus Christ.

And it starts with our youngest students in the Early Childhood programs. These students receive an excellent Christ-focused education that allows them to grow in their knowledge and faith. We ensure that your child has the opportunity to be active, build, create, play, and have fun while building positive relationships. They also spend time with highly-qualified teachers who love Jesus and love kids, and are eager to help students experience the wonder of learning within God's world.

Your student should leave preschool ready and prepared for Kindergarten. Our programs nurture the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth of your child in a secure and loving environment. During their time in our preschool program, students should

  • Become more aware of God in our world and their role in God's world
  • Grow in love for God and each other
  • Achieve a positive self-image
  • Learn to accept and respond to others (sharing, cooperation, etc.)
  • Improve speaking, listening, and perceptual skills
  • Practice critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Develop gross and fine motor skills
  • Develop counting skills and pattern recognition
  • Practice a variety of skills and abilities through choice time
  • Take responsibility for learning

Regardless of which path you choose (traditional or nature-based), your child will receive a Christ-centered education. Preschool children will learn that they have a special place in God’s plan and that God loves and cares for them and His world. Students will also walk away knowing more about

  • Who God is and what it means to be a child of God
  • Loving God and each other
  • Developing their God-given gifts
  • Traditional curriculum, with a Christ-focused perspective
  • What it means to live for Jesus
  • Bible stories, songs, verses, and prayer
  • Their Biblical worldview through the framework of Teaching for Transformation

Class Snapshots

Our program nurtures the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth of your child in a secure, loving environment. We offer

  • Traditional Preschool, where students learn in a traditional classroom, which is curated to help children learn through play.
  • Nature-rich Preschool, which teaches students both in traditional classrooms but with an outdoor emphasis.
  • Nature-based Preschool, which is taught in our outdoor classroom, The Creation Station. There's also room to explore in “The Great Beyond” — the wooded acreage behind the outdoor classroom.

Young Fives is an important year of growth and development between preschool and kindergarten. Our program focuses on early literacy & math skills, social interactions and relationships, science, creative arts, and Bible. Studies have shown that literacy knowledge and skills developed in the early childhood years help develop later literacy achievement. We develop literacy through structured large group time, small group activities, structured free play time, and dramatic play centers.  During this year, students become proficient in their ability to “do school.” This means they'll grow in confidence in working with each other and listening to a teacher. These necessary skills are layered into many areas of learning — all within a loving, Christ-centered environment.

Kindergarten provides a safe, nurturing atmosphere where God’s love is demonstrated in both word and deed. Curriculum teaches each child at their developmental level, laying a strong foundation upon which future learning is built. Kindergarten students engage in Bible, language arts, social studies, science, math, and more — preparing them to succeed in first grade!
