Preschool at ACS
The Purpose of our preschool is to provide a stimulating and enriching experience for children in preparation for kindergarten or Young 5’s. A program that nurtures the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth of the preschool child will be provided in a secure and loving environment. Preschool students at Allendale Christian will have the opportunity to engage with loving and nurturing teachers that are passionate about serving God and loving kids, and who are eager to help students experience the wonder of learning within God's world! Preschool Faith Goals
A Christ-centered education is emphasized at the ACS Preschool. We desire to educate our preschool children in an environment where students learn that they have a special place in God’s plan. The children will be taught that God loves and cares for them and His world. In our classroom we will provide many experiences in which children can also express their love for God.
- Learn more about who God is and what it means to be a child of God
- Develop their God-given gifts
- View the different themes they learn from a Christ-focused perspective
- Become more aware of what it means to live for Jesus
As part of the Faith Goals for our preschool students, there will be learning themes for the Bible stories. These themes include (but are not limited to) God creating us and loving us, God’s power, God sending His son, Jesus, to save us, and God wanting us to share what we know about Him with others. The methods to learn these themes will be by learning facts of the Bible stories, learning songs that go with the stories, learning Bible verses, and experiencing prayer.
Preschool Student Goals
The purpose of our preschool is to provide a stimulating and enriching experience for children in preparation for Kindergarten. A program that nurtures the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth of the preschool child will be provided in a secure and loving environment.
- Become more aware of God in our world
- Love God and each other
- Achieve a positive self-image
- Learn to accept and respond to others
Improve verbal, listening, and perceptual skills
- Develop gross and fine motor skills
In a typical daily schedule, the students will participate in a number of different activities that will help them grow in different skills. The day usually starts with choice time, allowing each student to choose from a variety of options meant to work on different skills and abilities. Calendar time helps students work on speaking and listening skills, counting and pattern recognition, as well as building the confidence to stand up front and lead. Bible time is used to work on many speaking and listening skills, but also to meet the important Faith Goals in preschool (see above).
Other scheduled activities include book time (informal time for looking at and reading books), theme exploration, craft time, large motor activities, singing, and snack time. The preschool students will be active and have fun as they grow and develop in the skills that are a focus in the ACS Preschool.

“The teacher is always available and genuinely loves and cares for our child!”
"I love that my children are taught to pray and learn to pray for each other. I like that the older students (4th grade buddies) are paired with younger students and are given the opportunity to spend time together throughout the year.”
“I greatly appreciate the philosophy that 3- and 4- year olds learn through play. My daughter loves preschool!”
“The teacher’s passion for Christ is obvious, as well as for Early Childhood Education”
