Signs Required
Families will receive 2 pick-up signs at the ACS Open House or from the front office. Signs must be displayed on your vehicle's passenger-side window in order to pick up your child(ren) at the end of each day. You may request extra signs from the office if needed.
If there is a change in who is picking up your child(ren), please communicate that with your child's teacher and the front office prior to noon that day.
Procedures
- Drop off begins at 7:50 a.m.— no sooner.
- Playground supervision begins at 7:55 a.m. The first bell is 8:15 a.m.
- Enter the main 64th Ave. entrance (pictured as yellow arrows in parking, and drive as far to the end of the sidewalk curb as possible.
- Please DO NOT drive through the lot to bypass the pickup line. Help keep everyone safe, and go with the flow.
- Children should exit vehicles quickly and walk on the sidewalk to the front door.
- Exit the lot carefully after you drop off your student.
- If you choose to park and walk your child into the building, please cross at the crosswalk.
Please do not
- Use the north lot for the morning drop-off of Y5-8.
- Park along the front curb in the morning, hindering traffic flow onto 64th Ave.

All students in a family will use the lot where the youngest (Y5+) is assigned, even on days when the youngest is not at school. Older children and siblings in Child Care will be instructed where to go for pick-up.
Cars may not arrive until 3:10 p.m.
Pro Tip: Arrive after 3:15 p.m. to avoid the lines all together!
Follow the patterns in the picture, and drive two-by-two along the loop.
- Pull up next to the numbered cones and park.
- Students will be called to vehicles and instructed when it’s safe to load.
- All students must be loaded in the pick-up zone before any vehicles will leave.
- For the safety of our students, please do not start driving until instructed.
- Repeat the process with the next group of vehicles.
Youngest Students in Grades 2–8
- Use the Main Lot (yellow arrows)
- If buses are leaving as you arrive, please allow them to exit first.
Youngest Students in Young Fives – Grade 1
- Use the Henry Street Lot (red arrows)
- To pick up a preschool PM student, you may use the pick-up curb until 3:10 p.m.
