I attended Allendale High School and then Ball State University, where I competed on the gymnastics team, and graduated with a degree in K-12 Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education. I then attended Calvin College to finish my Secondary Health Education Minor. I taught for 8 years at Allendale High and Middle School teaching Health and PE before I began staying home with my three children. I went on to finish my Masters in Educational Leadership at Grand Valley State University in my last year of teaching. I am excited to be back in the school setting and teaching as a paraeducator!
I grew up in Ravenna, MI and then moved away for college and other opportunities. I have worked on a family farm, been a rafting guide in Colorado, coached volleyball, gymnastics, track and field and I now have my own Freedom Fighting business. I have a husband, Phillip. He and I reconnected after college and were married in 2010. We have three children, Deacon (2013), Rozlyn (2015) and Sullivan (2017). As a family, we love to travel, be outdoors and spend time with all the extended family that we are blessed to have close by. If I find some time to myself, I love to be outside, create/design wood projects, watch movies, shop at thrift stores and cook or bake!
