Deep Hope

Dear 2nd Graders -  My Deep Hope for you is that you know God loves you and learn to show that love to others. I pray that in all things you grow up in Christ, staying rooted in the gifts of love and learning.

Personal Biography

I grew up in Allendale with one younger sister who doubles as my best friend. Our parents sent us to Allendale Christian School- how cool is that! As a previous student at ACS, I personally know the impact of being a part of this community. I am so excited to be back, this time on staff! In 2015 I graduated from Unity Christian High School and moved to Grand Rapids to attend Calvin College. During college, I volunteered with Madison Square CRC as a leader in their girls group. Since being hired in March and graduating in May, I have moved back home to Allendale to be close to family and ACS. My family and I have attended Lifestream Church for the past few years. I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, and spending lots of time at Lake Michigan.

Professional Biography

In May of 2019, I graduated from Calvin College with my degree in Elementary Education and Language Arts. I completed my student teaching at Byron Center Christian School this past Spring with 3rd grade students. This experience was so positive as I learned to integrate faith and learning in an intentional way. This school year will be my first year as a teacher and I could not be more excited! It has always been a dream of mine to work with children and teach. Through each teaching experience I’ve had, God has continued to reaffirm that dream in my life. I love Christian education and feel so grateful to get to be a part of students’ growth in Christ at the same school where I attended. Christian education gives us a unique opportunity to help students grow and learn through a common worldview. I can’t wait to partner with families as we work toward this growth! God is so good and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for me, my students, and this ACS community.
