Groups: Educational Support Services

It is my deep hope that I am able to reflect to students their unique spiritual gifts and provide guidance and support in which those gifts may flourish.

I attended Grandville Christian and both Calvin Christian and Grandville High Schools. I continued to Ferris State University and Western Michigan University and earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in social work. Since 2000, I have worked with individuals who have developmental disabilities and mental illnesses, older adults, and those with complex medical and mental health diagnoses. In 2013, I began working with Holland Home (Atrio Home Health) and continue to provide social work support to this community once weekly. I was able to complete an internship in my master's program within a local school system and while my heart was ready for school social work, there were years in which God was not yet ready for me to take this role (until now!).

I am married and have five children between the ages of 4 and 14. I grew up in Grandville and have more recently lived in Hudsonville and Allendale. In my free time, I enjoy off-roading trips with my husband and our older children, camping, going to our cabin each summer, cooking on cast iron and exploring healthy recipes, taking time with each of our children individually as able, reading and spending time in scripture before everyone else wakes up. I am so thankful that God's path for me has provided the opportunity to serve the ACS community!
